Recognised as one of South Africa’s leading coaches and a multiple PGA Teacher of the Year award-winner, Steve leads a team of highly qualified PGA Professionals dedicated to helping golfers of all levels refine their game.

Set against the stunning views of Mount Edgecombe’s rolling fairways, the Bowls Club offers a timeless sporting experience in the heart of the estate. The greens are inviting for players of all levels, whether enjoying a casual roll or competing in league fixtures. Experienced coaches are on hand to guide beginners or help seasoned players improve their game.

Home to a thriving league, the club hosts regular matches, friendly roll-ups, and inter-club competitions that keep the season lively. Coaching and practice sessions are available for anyone looking to improve, while the bowls pavilion is a favourite spot to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes this club so special.

Our two top-class bowling greens, including one floodlit for evening play, compare with the best in KZN. Superb Clubhouse facilities make for a very happy and successful Bowls Club.

Glide into Nature

Experience calm waters in the heart of the estate

Paddling on Pani Dam is a special experience right in the heart of The Lakes Course. Surrounded by lush greenery and the calls of birds, you can glide across calm waters and feel completely immersed in nature.

The estate has a regular paddling group, bringing together members who enjoy this peaceful activity. It’s a chance to move, breathe, and enjoy the water alongside others. Afterwards, members often relax at the Watershed Café with a drink or snack while taking in the views.

The Trail

15km of scenic freedom

Winding through the heart of Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate, our 15km trail offers an unforgettable experience for runners, walkers, and mountain bikers. Designed and maintained by Ian Wilson of Single Track Minded, the trail meanders through breathtaking landscapes, taking in rolling fairways, indigenous woodlands, and panoramic vistas that showcase the natural beauty of the estate.

Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, from birds and small mammals to the occasional sighting of larger creatures, making every journey a chance to connect with nature. Open outside of golf hours, the trail provides a perfect escape for fitness, fresh air, and exploration, whether you’re seeking a vigorous workout or a leisurely adventure.

With stunning scenery and abundant wildlife along the way, the trail is an adventure in every sense.

The estate’s waters are home to species such as Bass, Carp, Tilapia, Barbel, and Eels, providing a rewarding experience in a serene setting. Catch and release is encouraged to promote sustainable fishing, allowing the beauty of the waters to be enjoyed for years to come.

Fishing here is as much about the calm and tranquility of the surroundings as it is about the catch, a quiet moment to connect with nature right on the estate.

Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate is home to a vibrant and active Bird and Environmental Club, where members share a passion for nature and wildlife. Sessions include Duplicate Bridge with competitive, social and beginner groups. Dedicated sessions for those learning to play provide a solid foundation, with an expected progression into the competitive groups as skills develop. Play ranges from lively, competitive hands to relaxed, social games, all in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

The club offers a comfortable and inviting environment with refreshments, perfect for enjoying a game and spending time with friends.
